Green Toastie

 

Golden, pan-fried toastie stacked with green healthy and yummy ingredients. Ingredients

  • 2 Slices Whole Grain Bread
  • 2 Tablespoons Green Pesto
  • ⅓ Cup Low Fat Mozzarella Cheese (1.8 ounces / 50 grams)
  • Few Baby Spinach Leaves
  • ¼ Slice of Avocado
  • ⅓ Cup Feta Cheese (.3 ounces / 10 grams)
  • Black Pepper

Directions

  1. Get two whole grain bread, spread about 1 tablespoon of pesto onto each slice of bread.
  2. On one slice of bread, add Mozzarella Cheese, Baby Spinach leaves, sliced Avocado, Feta Cheese, then season with Black pepper. Top it with the other slice of bread and press all together gently.
  3. Set your frying pan to high heat then spray or brush it with olive oil.
  4. Heat up the sandwich for about 90 seconds (on each side) or until the bread is golden brown. Press the sandwich gently and flip it carefully.
  5. Slice the bread into quarters! Happy and healthy eating!
